GEA Timber Ventures, Inc.

About

GEA Timber Ventures, Inc. (the company) promotes individual or corporate investments in reforestations with high financial returns to investors—for a greener future—through timber plantations with an 8-year cycle. Harvesting takes place in Year 9, followed by replanting.

Our company has the technical skills and management capability to produce good quality timber—using vegetative cloning technology. Our aim is to harvest timber annually and in a continuous cropping cycle to maximize returns for our company and our investors, and at the same time contribute to a greener future by promoting carbon sequestration to mitigate the negative effects of climate change.

GEA Timber Ventures, Inc. has initiated partnerships with individual investors, owners of idle deforested lands, and foreign or local power generating companies. These include: Individuals, local, overseas Filipino expatriates, or overseas foreign worker (OFWs), looking for investments maturing in 8 years will benefit by investing in GEA’s “one-hectare timber plantation” program, involving timber plantations already planted in Luzon and Mindanao. Each investor will be provided with a Certificate of Ownership of Timber Trees assigned to him in his “one-hectare timber plantation”, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the investor and GEA Timber Ventures, Inc., covering the details of the agreement, and a Global Positioning System (GPS) tag.

Owners of idle private deforested lands (varying in sizes from 10 hectares to 10,000 hectares), interested in using their own funds for plantation development, can also benefit from the reforestation scheme by engaging the services of GEA Timber Ventures, Inc. as plantation manager. As plantation manager, we will establish, manage, and maintain the plantation to maturity; and harvest, process and market the timber products to local or foreign buyers.

International or local electricity power-generation companies, requiring long term

supply of wood biofuel (wood biomass) as clean source of fuel, either as wood chips or wood pellets, can also engage our venture company as plantation manager to produce the required wood biofuel. GEA Timber Ventures, Inc. will arrange to lease idle deforested lands, owned by private families or corporations, or by upland communities with long-term rights through Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM) or Industrial Forest Management Agreement (IFMA). These companies, through available local or foreign financing, will supply the electricity needs of many island provinces

outside of the national power grid. In addition to supplying their wood biofuel needs, they can also earn high returns from the timber trees ready for harvest at the end of the 8-year cycle. GEA Timber Ventures, Inc. will provide their services in harvesting, processing (kiln dry) and selling of these high quality lumber products to the local or foreign wood markets.
