ABOUT PCCI-MAKATI (MAKATI CHAMBER)
PCCI-Makati (formerly Makati Chamber of Commerce and Industry) is a non-stock, non-profit organization,the recognized local chamber of the country’s premiere business district, Makati City and an automatic member of the biggest business organization, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
It has a voice in the Makati Business Development Council giving the chamber the chance to contribute its input into the development initiatives and responses of the multi-sectoral council.Chambers point of view is reflected in situational analysis in opportunity seeking,and in shaping strategic directions for the City .
It is also part of the Makati Fire Safety and Makati Environment Foundation where the chamber can contribute in the enhancement of the safety and environment programs of the country’s financial capital.
The PCCI-Makati has two board seats and can provide input in Makati Parking Authority (MAPA). Ideas and insights into making the Authority more responsive to our needs more transparent in its policies and maybe more practical in the Authority’s implementing guidelines .
It is also part of the Makati Tourism Foundation,where the chamber can help shape and strategies policies with regard to promoting travel and tourism.
PCCI-Makati is also part of Pasay Makati TESDA Council wherein the chamber can impart ideas on the improvement of training and the much needed assistance in the area.
PCCI-Makati provides linkage with the local and national government agencies, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI),Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and linkage to different Embassies as well as Foreign Chambers.
The strategic thrust of the Chamber this year is stepping up our digital presence. This is very opportune in the midst of the global pandemic that required people to stay at home to prevent the corona virus from spreading.
Electronic contact has been so relevant at this time of the pandemic, and has gained critical importance for any business and industry.
