The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in Makati has forged an agreement with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) to collaboratively advance and nurture the lucrative halal industry in the country. Their joint efforts aim to empower Muslim Filipinos by accrediting halal-certifying bodies.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formally signed last Thursday evening by PCCI-Makati President Nunnatus Cortez and NCMF Commissioner Datu Ras Lidasan Jr., representing NCMF Executive Director Tahir Lidasan Jr. The signing took place during the inaugural general membership meeting and installation of officers and trustees of PCCI-Makati, hosted at Makati Diamond Residence.
