In a milestone agreement between the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Makati chapter and the National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Makati City is poised to emerge as a vibrant halal hub. After seven months of deliberations and missed lunches, officials have laid the groundwork for institutionalizing a robust halal accreditation system, opening doors to the $7 trillion global halal market. Led by PCCI Makati’s ambitious vision, a $4 billion target in halal exports over five years promises not only economic growth but also opportunities for job creation.
The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in Makati has forged an agreement with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) to collaboratively advance and nurture the lucrative halal industry in the country. Their joint efforts aim to empower Muslim Filipinos by accrediting halal-certifying bodies.

PCCI Makati opens 2024 with the 1st General Membership Meeting; the Induction of the Board of Trustees and Officers, and New Members; and the signing of the PCCI’s Memorandum of Agreement with the National Commission of Muslim Filipino (NCMF)
PCCI- Makati’s Officers and Board of Trustees have now been officially inducted by the PCCI – NCR chapter at the Manila Hotel on February 13, 2024.
