PHILIPPINE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY

MAKATI CITY

NEW BOMBAY FOODS INC.

Company Description:

New Bombay started as a canteen in 2000, with its first branch in Buendia Supermarket, Makati City. It only had a 25 persons maximum capacity for dine-in, It’s food was best described by customers as intense rather than hot.

To satisfy the different customers, It had New Bombay cooks differently for Indians & non-Indians (Chinese, Filipinos, Americans, etc…) adjusting the spices and taste to suit the preferred taste of the latter, so the customers love the food & enjoyed the small canteen ambiance. After a few years, the canteen was already too small for the loyal and frequent customers that ate there on a daily basis. Our start up success was due to the low price and exceptionally good food.

After few years company decided to opened its first official restaurant in H.V Dela Costa St., Salcedo village, Makati city, this location was perfect for business because mainly the restaurant catered to families and middle-aged working people .Salcedo having both Residential and office district all around the area, also enjoy a cultural mix of different people coming from different places around the world.

In 2012 and 2013 company opened branch at Fort Bonifacio and Robinson Manila Mall. And from 2011 to 2015 we are doing our own backward integration for our restaurant.

And from there the company further improved the food & service to change it’s canteen image to a full service restaurant. Still, business was improving month after month. Having a lot of good and inspiring comments from customers lead to the establishment of its second branch in 2004 at Wilson St. San Juan.

The idea is authentic Indian ambiance + new locally inspired Indian dishes = New Bombay. For the year 2007 the 3rd branch opened at the Ground Floor of The Columns Building, Makati City And in 2007 – 2008 at Glorietta 3 and Podium Mall.
  • New Bombay Foods Inc. has currently Seven branches in the strategic location.
  • New Bombay Restaurant is leading market share in Indian restaurant in Manila Philippines.
