On July 14, 2025, PCCI Makati hosted an insightful session under its Negosyo Talks series titled “Tax Audit Survival: What Every SME Owner Needs to Know.” The online forum was attended by 57 participants which includes, SME owners, professionals, and business leaders.
The session featured Mr. Rafaelito Solangon, Senior Partner at Solangon, Manuel, Bonilla and Company and Chairman of PCCI Makati, who shared valuable insights on how SMEs can effectively handle BIR tax audits. He discussed common audit triggers, essential documentation practices, and strategies to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.
The forum was expertly moderated by Ms. Annie Shotwell, Soliciting Official & General Manager of Ember Insurance Brokerage Inc. and Director of PCCI Makati, who kept the discussion engaging and practical.
Closing remarks were delivered by Ms. Sheena Kapil, Managing Director of SV Supreme Inc. and Chairwoman for Membership and Services, who emphasized the importance of being audit-ready and continually educating SME owners.
